There’s a non-cop witness.

Nevermind the facts which have come out in regard to the killing of Martin.  What’s important are four things:

• Martin is black.   Being an African-American is not disputed.
• Martin’s killer is not Black.  Evidently George Zimmerman is a “White Hispanic” even though he is self-identified as a Hispanic-American.  If Trayvon’s father were white, would Trayvon then be a “White-African-American”?
• Sharpton and Jackson get their faces in front of cameras
• There is money to be made.  Trayvon’s mother has applied for a Trademark on his name (probably to begin a scholarship fund for white-hispanics).  Buy your daughter a t-shirt.  Support the Obama 2012 Campaign.  The opportunity to steal stuff while “demonstrating for Trayvon” (clearly proving the public has absolutely no reason to be afraid of large groups of young African-Americans).  ADVERTISING on the radio, TV and websites of the media.

When is the African-American community going to wake to the fact that the people who stoke these fires (Jackson, Sharpton, pastors of African-American churches, et al) benefit financially, and those who are aroused to “action” are their unwitting pawns?  The “rousers” get publicity which leads to things like paid speaking engagements, TV appearances, radio interviews, influence to be used to extort money from corporations, etc.  The “aroused” get arrested, lose respect from the rest of the (non-Black)community and suffer from constant reinforcement of exaggerated whites-against-blacks discrimination claims.  BTW, as long as they continue to believe that the source of their problems is White America, they won’t look to themselves for answers to the question of why life is not what they would like it to be.

Now that Obamacare is foundering Charlie Rangel throws down the race card.  From an exclusive article from The New York Post:

Rep. Charles Rangel said Tuesday that “bias” and “prejudice” toward Obama are fueling opposition to health-care reform.

He’s on the right track, but the wrong train.  America is biased and prejudiced towards socialism and half-baked ideas.  The backlash against obamacare has nothing to do with race.

“Some Americans have not gotten over the fact that Obama is president of the United States. They go to sleep wondering, ‘How did this happen?’ “

Again.  Right track, wrong train.  Lots of us wonder “How did this happen” but it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with broken promises, dashed expectations, stupid moves and socialism.

What’s really happening here (as is usual with the playing of the race card) is that Rangel is making an attempt to divert attention from something else – namely Charles Rangel.  In a startling display of stupidity Rangle posits that white Americans would rather have crappy healthcare than wonderful obamacare.  Using that same “logic” white America would rather burn in a fire than be rescued by a black fireman.

Rangel is attempting to re-focus attention away from his present woes.

The following is what has been widely reported as the chain of events leading up to the arrest.  Professor Gates had just returned home from a more than 20 hour trip from China.  Upon his return he found that he was unable to gain access to his home.  The door was jammed as a result of a recent burglary attempt.  He and his driver were seen forcing the door open by Lucia Whalen.  Ms. Whalen called 911 to report what she saw.  When asked by Sergeant Crowley what she had seen she responded that she had seen two black males forcing their way into the house.

Sergeant Crowley entered the house to investigate what could have been a crime in progress and encountered Professor Gates.  Gates, who was understandably upset after 20 hours in the air and the frustration of not being able to get into his own home, refused to come out on the porch to talk to the officer replying “no I will not.”  The trouble begins now.  Gates demands to know who Crowley is.  He then throws down the race card – “why, because I’m a black man in America?”  Crowley responds that he is investigating a possible crime in progress and asks if there is anyone else in the house.  Gates responds by yelling that it is none of Crowley’s business and that Crowley is a racist.  Instead of complying with Crowley’s lawful command to come outside Gates calls someone and asks the name of the police chief.  The story goes on, but you can read the report to get the rest of the details.

The bottom line is that instead of being grateful to the Cambridge Police Department Gates immediately throws the race card because he’s in a bad mood.  Sergeant Crowley did nothing to provoke him except to be white.  Witnesses support Crowley’s statements.

Later, President Obama states on national television that the Cambridge Police Department acted “stupidly” after telling the world that Gates is a friend of his and that he (Obama) doesn’t know the facts.  A genuine oboner.

Subsequently, in order to try to smooth over his own stupid remark, President Obama invites Crowley and Gates over to the White House for a beer.

The “angry black man” act is getting really old.  So is the “race card.”  Stoking the fires of racism on the part of blacks are asshats like this guy who no doubt was on OJ’s side.
